I openly admit that I’m a big fan of the show Gossip Girl. I also admit that I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced uniform that looks like the one the students wear on SL for months. And to my surprise, when I logged in this morning, I got just what I wanted.

*+*JILL*+* is once again incredibly generous with her lucky board prizes, and this latest outfit has me feeling just like a GG ready for the fall semester. Free Candy For Girls is recruiting!

As any growing blog , with busy ladies at the forefront, we don’t always have enough time to blog, and so we’d like to extend an open offer to all – Free Candy For Girls is looking for more SL bloggers who would like to either start or continue in the field of fashion blogging in SL.

We actually have a large amount of average monthly hits, with the max currently in the 700’s, which for a blog so young, is pretty impressive! We’re two very close friends, who love to shop, and we both love making friends and chilling out too! We both love blogging and we’d hope that any applicants love blogging too!

We’d really like to find some folk who are alike to us, who have a good grasp of the English language, Second Life and the fashion world within it. We’d hope they’d have a really friendly writing style and be more concerned with a positive spin, rather than a negative one. We’d also hope that they’d be clued up on the current state of content theft and how to combat it, and support those who have been the victims of content theft. They’d be happy with blogging freebies alongside full price items, and they wouldn’t be afraid to show their style either.

We’d off any successful applicants a friendly pair of ears, or two – and give them support and help whenever they needed it.

WOOO! We’re moving!

We’ll be moving to a new domain soon  - it’s only a free one – but it’s a domain all the same. In the future we’ll have one of them fancy .coms like everyone else who is cool and awesome!

Modavia Fashion Week Day 4 – Ivalde and L’Abel

I was going to report on this, but I really, really got put off the whole show, which is disappointing. I lack any faith in Modavia to actually make a fashion show that achieves it’s purpose – to show how good an outfit by the designer looks. Don’t let fashion-retarded models choose shoes from 2003, with textures made before anyone realised how to make tiling textures. I felt out of place, and unhappy – despite the fabulous outfits by L’Abel and Ivalde. The DJ played some OK music, but when she talked, I felt uncomfortable listening to her say numerous words incorrectly.

I feel disappointed and to be honest, let down. I’m not surprised though – this is just LL trying to be hip, cool and happening, while stoddering about like a geriatric lunatic.

Modavia Fashion Week Report – Saturday – Shiki Designs

This is the Fifth and last of todays shows of today at Modavia, at least – that’s what the DJ said. I’m actually looking forward to this – Shiki make some affordable, unique and beautiful clothes, for men and women – so I’m pre-rezzing the models by looking backstage, I really want to do these outfits justice! Modavia Fashion Week Report – Saturday – Son!a Runway Haute Couture

This is a live blog entry – I’m typing as I watch the show, so I’ll be commenting as such. Pictures may be slightly unrezzed – lag and slow loading in a full sim are against me! Click the images to see them bigger!

Modavia Fashion Week is happening now, on this week to co-incide with RL Fashion Week – and in my opinion is run fairly well, although some misinformation keeps getting passed around about lag origins. I think I’d prefer if they said to take off bling because it’s hideous rather than under the guise of lag.  There are equal mesures of noobie-style fug, and overt fashionista’s  littering the tent, and the odd
underdressed hussy, fresh from pole dancing class.

Son!a28 Jie is a Canadian designer who also works in RL in the fashion industry as well as in SL.  Her gowns are very elegant, with just enough sex appeal.

First up is Aealla Illyar – wearing a golden tinged bridal gown, and it’s pretty poofy, but all the same, very pretty.
